Academic Rights Campaign
The Academic Affairs Committee of the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) established the “Know Your Rights” Campaign to inform students of their rights both within and outside of the classroom. This campaign focuses on compiling relevant Faculty Senate academic policies and transforms them into student-friendly social media posts. The UPUA supplements this with a week of physical tabling in the HUB.
Fuel for Finals
During finals week, a large number of students study in the Hetzel Union Building (HUB). These students often consume food and coffee while preparing for their finals. Since students will often continue to study beyond the normal operating hours of Starbucks and other HUB Dining establishments, the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) provides students with coffee and snacks throughout finals week.
Test Prep Week
The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) hosts Test Prep Week in the Fall and Spring semesters every year. This week has provides students with free preparation books and practice examinations for the MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, NCLEX, and GRE examinations. Representatives are charged with providing these test review books to students. In previous years, Test Prep Week has been hosted at different locations across campus, including the HUB Galbraith Lounge, Willaman Gateway to the Life Sciences, Business Building Atrium, and Westgate Bridge.
